Biography
| Bio | A born-and-raised native Texan, I grew up outside of Houston and graduated from Klein High School before attending Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas. It was a dream of mine to become a naval aviator, and after receiving a BBA from SMU, I joined the United States Navy where I served over 14 years as an F/A-18 Strike Fighter Pilot. In the years following my time in the Navy, I briefly flew for United Airlines, started a defense consulting business, and built a 20-year career at L3Harris Corporation before retiring as a senior executive in 2022. Family and Community Our family has called Westlake “home” for nearly eight years. My wife, Brigitte Deslongchamps, and I are the proud parents of three daughters: Jade, a junior at Westlake Academy; Allie, a recent graduate of Westlake Academy who will be attending TCU in the Fall; and our oldest, Quincy, who graduated from Texas Tech and now works and resides in Florida. Westlake has been an amazing community to live and raise a family in. In the freedom of retirement, I have enjoyed serving as our neighborhood’s HOA President and as a volunteer assistant soccer coach these last two years for the Westlake Academy girls “State Champion” soccer team. Current Activities In addition to volunteering time for our Westlake community, I am passionate about supporting our military and first responders—giving back to those who have given so much. I volunteer for the Honor Foundation as a mentor and speaker in support of Special Operations service members who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life. I also continue to serve as a board member, corporate advisor/consultant, and executive coach, and have entered the ranks of small business ownership with a new start-up in the works. Vision for Westlake It is my goal to protect and enhance the unique characteristics of Westlake that have made this town such a special place to live, raise a family, and work. This translates into having an engaged, collaborative, high-performing town government, driving detailed strategic planning and proactively managing growth and revenues, continuing to improve the Academy, completing Entrada, protecting our open spaces, and ensuring we maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents, business partners and guests. |
