Glenn Hegar (Republican Party) was the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He assumed office on January 1, 2015. He left office on June 30, 2025.
Hegar (Republican Party) ran for re-election for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Hegar is a former member of the Texas State Senate, representing District 18 from 2007 to 2014. Hegar announced he would resign his seat effective December 5, 2014, in order to take up his newly elected position as Texas Comptroller. A special election was scheduled for December 6, 2014,[1] and Lois Kolkhorst was declared the victor.
