Mayor Chris Schulmeister is a longtime Allen resident and dedicated volunteer with more than 20 years of service in local government and community organizations. He served on Allen City Council from 2019-2025, including two years as Mayor Pro Tem. He also represented Allen on regional boards, including:

North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Transportation Council

North Central Texas Emergency 911 Board of Managers

North Texas Municipal Water District Board Council Liaison

Before his election to Allen City Council, Schulmeister served on both the Allen Community Development Corporation and the Allen Economic Development Corporation, where he championed projects to enhance Allen’s quality of life and economic growth.

Throughout his years of service, Mayor Schulmeister has focused on stewarding community assets and building strong relationships with city staff, volunteer organizations, local businesses, and residents alike. His guiding principles of accountability, integrity, relationship-building, and commitment continue to inform his leadership as mayor.

Mayor Schulmeister is a retired financial professional. He and his wife, Jeanie, have called Allen home since 1984.
