Suzanne Hawk was elected to the board in May 2026. She dedicated 15 years to Mesquite ISD, serving students and families as a teacher at Agnew Middle School, West Mesquite High School, and Price Elementary before moving into campus leadership roles as Assistant Principal and Principal at McKenzie Elementary. She now serves as Program Coordinator for School Improvement at Region 10 Education Service Center, supporting school districts across North Texas.

Hawk and her husband, Jacob, are active members of the Mesquite community, where he serves as the preaching minister at Mesquite Church of Christ. Together, they are grateful for the opportunity to serve and invest in the community they proudly call home. In her free time, she enjoys participating in a book club with friends and playing mahjong.

Hawk shares that the most rewarding part of serving as a Board member is the opportunity to pay it forward and continue making Mesquite ISD an exceptional place for students, staff, and families.
