Bio

Nick Stevens has called Denton home for over 21 years. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas and later continued his graduate education in seminary with the goal of pursuing ministry.

Nick is a small business owner of Apex Bonding, a  Denton company that supports disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) and minority-owner businesses enterprises (MBE) focused on helping contractors access opportunities for surety bonding. Prior to starting Apex Bonding, he was a green coffee buyer, partnering with coffee farmers around the world to improve crop quality, sustainability, and economic grown within coffee producing countries.

Nick co-founded the John B. Denton Neighborhood Association and has served as Chair of the Health and Building Standards Commission for the City of Denton. His work has always been centered on service, neighborhood advocacy, community improvement, and helping residents navigate local issues.

Nick is also a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where his faith continues to shape his commitment to service and community.

Outside of his professional and civic work, Nick enjoys travel, food culture, and wine education. He recently completed his Level One certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers and has a strong appreciation for hospitality and local business.

Nick has a strong desire to serve the community that has been his home for the majority of his life and will work to ensure that Denton continues to thrive for future generations.
