Over these past several years, I have met some great people and I enjoy being very close to family. We are watching the City of Oak Point grow with some good and some not so good as our city infrastructure tries to keep up. With growth comes a challenge to keep the country feel while incorporating and appreciating new local commercial businesses like restaurants and shopping and stop having to drive an average of 30 minutes to reach these amenities. With that said, I decided to get more involved in being a part of the City of Oak Point and put my name in the hat for a Council Member seat. As a newly selected City Council Member, my goal is to represent the citizens of Oak Point and their desire to keep Oak Point a great place to live for all residents, promoting a well-balanced path intertwining both city growth and country living. And to my citizen neighbors, I encourage you to come to a meeting if you can and meet your council members and staff as well as share your perspectives regarding our city.
