Make Government Transparency A
Constitutional Right

Government transparency should not depend on who holds office. Support the Path to Unity Transparency Amendment and help establish enforceable transparency standards for the federal government.

Transparency

Our Letter To Congress

To the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate:

We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon Congress to introduce, consider, and pass a joint resolution proposing the Path to Unity Transparency Amendment to the United States Constitution.

The American people deserve timely access to government spending, decisions, meetings, records, and actions, subject only to clearly defined protections for national security, personal privacy, and active law-enforcement matters.

We ask every member of Congress to publicly state whether they support introducing and debating this amendment.

Signing this petition urges Congress to propose the Transparency Amendment. A constitutional amendment must receive two-thirds approval in both chambers of Congress and be ratified by three-fourths of the states. The President does not approve constitutional amendments.
