Yuridiana Lewis is proud to serve as the Principal of Piedmont G.L.O.B.A.L. Academy, bringing over a decade of experience as a passionate educator, instructional leader, and advocate for student equity and excellence. A first-generation college graduate and the daughter of immigrant educators, Mrs. Lewis is deeply committed to building schools where every child is seen, supported, and empowered.
Born in Mexico City and raised in East Texas, Mrs. Lewis attended public schools in Athens ISD. Her journey into education began through her work with Big Thought’s Thriving Minds program, where she served as a campus site manager coordinating after-school clubs in athletics, arts, academics, and family engagement. Her work at Cary Middle School ignited a deeper passion for teaching, leading her to join the campus as an English Language Arts teacher. She was later named Teacher of the Year and earned Dallas ISD’s Distinguished Teacher designation.
Mrs. Lewis has held impactful roles across several Dallas ISD campuses—serving as English Department Chair at Rusk Middle School (where she earned TEA Master Teacher distinction), Instructional Lead Teacher at Medrano Junior High, and Assistant Principal at Sunset High School. Throughout her career, she has led schoolwide initiatives, mentored new teachers, designed district curriculum, and cultivated thriving academic and extracurricular programs.
Mrs. Lewis believes strong schools are built on high expectations, meaningful relationships, and a shared belief in students’ limitless potential. As Principal of Piedmont G.L.O.B.A.L. Academy, she is dedicated to nurturing a culture of growth, identity, and academic excellence—where students thrive, educators are supported, and families are active partners in building a stronger community.
Outside of school, Mrs. Lewis enjoys watching sports, reading, spending time with her family, and trying new recipes. She is happily married and a proud dog mom to two beloved furbabies.
