I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Principal of Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Academy for the 2024-2025 school year! It is an honor and privilege to continue serving this community and school within Dallas ISD.

My journey within Dallas ISD has been a rich tapestry of growth and learning. From my beginnings as a bilingual 1st-grade teacher at W.A. Blair Elementary in Pleasant Grove in 2006 to my recent role as Assistant Principal here at Sylvia Mendez CREW Leadership Academy, every step has been guided by a deep commitment to the education and well-being of our students.

Reflecting on my time here over the past two years, I have been continually inspired by the dedication and hard work of our families, students, and community members. Your passion for education and unwavering support have laid a strong foundation upon which we will build our shared future.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter together, I am eager to share my vision for our school’s future. I envision a nurturing environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued—where academic excellence and character development are intertwined. Together, we will explore innovative ways to enrich learning experiences and ensure each student reaches their full potential.
