Tommy Baril 2024Councilmember Tommy Baril’s experience in government and community service is shown in both his professional and volunteer service.

Before being elected to Allen City Council in 2023, Baril served as president of the Allen Community Development Corporation and chair of the Allen Downtown Steering Committee. He currently volunteers as a scout leader, member of the Allen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Allen Sports Association (ASA) sports coach, and a volunteer with his church’s high school youth ministry.

Baril is an Assistant Director within the U.S. Government Accountability Office’s Defense Capabilities and Management team. He holds a BBA (Finance), Certificate in International Business and Certificate in National Security from Texas A&M University. He also completed the National Security Management program and received the Maxwell School Executive Education Certificate from Syracuse University.
