Mrs. Smith is serving in her 17th year of education, all of which has been in the Grand Prairie Independent School District.  She began her career teaching at Truman Middle School for six years. She started her instructional leadership journey at Adams Middle School where she served six years as both a master teacher and dean of instruction.  Most recently, she has been a part of the administrative team at Delmas F. Morton Elementary for four years as their assistant principal.

She earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Texas in Arlington, and both her Master of Educational Leadership degree and Master of Curriculum & Instruction degree from Dallas Baptist University.

Mrs. Smith likes to travel, read, and spend time with her family.  She is a proud wife, and mother of one daughter, Madison, who will graduate Class of 2024 from South Grand Prairie Early College. Mrs. Smith is humbled to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of Whitt Fine Arts Academy, and is looking forward to all that God has planned in this next chapter.
