Mr. Starling brings 18 years of experience in education, with 16 of those years dedicated to serving the Grand Prairie ISD community. He began his career at Adams Middle School as a teacher and coach, where he spent five years before transitioning into educational leadership. His administrative journey began with an internship at Hope Academy, which led to eight years at South Grand Prairie High School, serving as both Assistant Principal and Dean of Students.

Mr. Starling earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. As the Principal of Jackson Middle School, he is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, ensuring the success of students, staff, and families. Mr. Starling is honored to lead the Jackson Middle School community and looks forward to continuing to inspire academic achievement and personal growth.
