Dr. Gilliam is completing her 25th year in education, with 16 of those years being in Grand Prairie ISD. She began her career in the Dallas Independent School District as a teacher. Ms. Gilliam has taught in Dallas ISD, Aldine ISD, and Irving ISD. She began her administrative experience in Grand Prairie ISD.

Dr. Gilliam earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University, master’s degree in educational administration from Texas Southern University in Houston, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University. In her spare time, she loves to take cycle classes, cruise, and relax in nature.
