It is with great pride, honor and excitement that I serve as the campus principal of Whitney M. Young Elementary! I am honored to have the privilege to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education!  I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty years.  My educational career includes serving in a variety of roles including a campus math teacher, District Instructional Coach and as an Assistant Principal.

My Philosophy of Education is centered around four critical elements.  All students should have equal access to a quality education.  My primary focus for all decision making is doing what is best for students.  All students should be pushed to become critical thinkers, problem solvers and lifelong learners, and we must provide a safe and inviting school environment for all.  I am committed to working with the staff, parents and the entire community to afford a quality education for every student.

As a team, we will continue to build a legacy of success by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners.  Our mission of inspiring all students for optimal success will continue to be the heart of all that we do!
