Scott was born and raised in Dallas, buying property here in 1996 after a long search for just the right place. He and wife Ann, happily married since 1982, built a house in Eagles Landing and moved in September, 2000. Scott graduated from SMU in 1981, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film production. He spent nearly 30 years in the video/film business, the last 12 as an independent producer/director under his own company, Big Shot Productions.

Now retired from business, he continues to serve as Eagles Landing Homeowners Association president (since 2002) and has served on various city committees over the years including the original and latest Comprehensive Plan Committees, Planning and Zoning Commission, and PARC. Scott produces a newsletter, recapping city meetings, as head of the Keep Oak Point Country Committee which was formed in 2017 to help keep development under control.

Scott has devoted countless hours to Oak Point and is delighted to now be on the City Council where he can continue to help keep Oak Point a country place and a unique place, where both animals and people love to live!
