After earning my BBA in Finance from Texas State University, I went on to earn two advanced degrees from The University of Dallas: an MBA with a concentration in Corporate Finance and an MS in Accounting with a minor in Economics. I retired from the United States Army Reserve in 2016 after 30 years of service, earning the Meritorious Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster (2nd award), and induction into the Order of Saint Barbara, a military honor society for lifetime contributions to the Field Artillery. For 18 of those years, I served as a Basic Training Instructor at Ft. Sill, Ft. Dix, and Ft. Jackson.
