Allen ISD Board, Place 6 Dr. Polly Montgomery was elected to the Allen ISD Board of Trustees in November 2020. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science, and she received her Master of Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Her desire to stay on the forefront of educational research paved the way for her to receive a Doctor of Education degree from Dallas Baptist University (DBU).
Professionally, Dr. Montgomery has served as an adjunct professor at DBU since 2014. She also has 32 years of public education experience, including previous roles within Allen ISD. She is a former Marion Elementary Principal, House Principal at Lowery Freshman Center, Assistant Principal at Vaughan Elementary, and District Coordinator of Assessment. She also spent several years as an assistant principal and classroom teacher in Garland ISD.
Dr. Montgomery’s years of diverse experience in public and higher education provide a unique perspective and insight that is a tremendous asset to the Allen ISD School Board. Dr. Montgomery and her husband, John, remain active in the Allen community. Polly loves her community and enjoys involvement in school related functions and activities.

The partnership between the Board of Trustees, the Superintendent, and the Cabinet is imperative for a well-run district. Together, we will support high quality education and an efficiently administrated district that benefits all students and constituents in AISD.
