Michael Cook is a proud father of three Plano ISD elementary students. He also served on the Huffman School Based Improvement Committee where he worked with the Principal, administrators and community members to set important goals for the coming school year. He continues to serve as a room parent and on other various committees with the PTA at Huffman.

In addition to his work with Plano ISD, Michael Cook is also a local business owner. He holds a membership in the Plano Chamber of Commerce and the Plano West Rotary.

Michael grew up in a working-class family that valued public education. The son of a police officer and a secretary, his hard work, dedication and the support of many public school teachers led him to become the first in his family to finish college at Cornell University, where he received a BS in Applied Economics and an MBA in Real Estate Finance.
