Melissa Rieman has been an active community leader since moving to the city in 2002. Her volunteer work includes serving as president of the Friends of the University Park Public Library and launching key fundraising initiatives in HPISD schools. In 2022, she was named University Park’s Citizen of the Year, served on the Parks Advisory Committee and chaired the Centennial Celebration Planning Committee. Melissa has two children, RJ and Riley.
