Councilmember Matt Prestenberg was elected to Place 6 in May 2022. Prior to his election, Mr. Prestenberg served on the Municipal Development District Board, the Animal Shelter Board from 2006 to 2008, and was a member of the first Leadership Sachse Class in 2005. He is currently the Council liaison to the Animal Shelter Board of Directors and is a member of the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee. Councilmember Prestenberg has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy and works as an Area Manager-Logistics for a major telecom company. He and his family have lived in Sachse since 2018.
