Maria Hernandez is a Dallas ISD graduate and attended SMU where she majored in Political Science and History. Her professional journey began as a bilingual teacher 20 years ago. She earned her master’s degree in Education and School Counseling at Texas A&M Commerce and continued her educational career as a school counselor. She truly enjoyed her work as a school counselor and gained valuable experience that prepared her to step into school leadership as Assistant Principal at Harry Stone Montessori Academy. Ms. Hernandez is currently serving as the Principal Resident at E.D. Walker and Prestonwood Montessori and is excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve our students in this new role.
As an educator and parent, Maria Hernandez strives to instill a love for learning in all children. She believes in the power of empowering students to pursue their highest potential and believes that every child can learn and thrive.
