Marcus was elected to the Prosper Town Council in May of 2019 and is currently serving his second term. Marcus and his wife Gwen, along with their five children, Caleb, Madelyn, Saber, Nico, and Micah, moved to Prosper in 2004. Formerly a private business owner, Marcus is the Vice President of Sales and Operations for GoSecure, a global leader in Cybersecurity and Managed Security Services.

Marcus has previously served the Town on the Planning and Zoning Commission, the original Town Charter Committee, and Prosper CERT. In addition, he has been involved with a variety of community and charitable organizations. Marcus currently serves on the Finance Committee, Broadband Committee, NCTCOG Emergency Response Council, and enjoys serving on the Community Engagement Committee.

Having a desire to put the people of Prosper first in all things, Marcus ran for Town Council to advocate for the community he loves and to represent residents and business owners equally. For leisure, Marcus enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on his Humvee, riding his Harley, and playing with his grandkids.
