An Irving ISD graduate who has served her entire career in education in Irving ISD. It is her mission to cultivate and promote an environment that fosters success for students and teachers. She is humbled and grateful for the entrusted responsibility to leading Barton Elementary.

Ms. Valdez was most recently an Assistant Principal at Nimitz High School. Prior to joining Nimitz, she was an academic specialist and teacher at Irving High School.

She earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington.
