Linda currently serves as a director of TASB – representing Region 10.  During her tenure as director she has served on the Legislative Committee and as Vice Chair of the By-Laws Committee.   Previously, she was a member of the TASB Legislative Advisory Council (LAC) and also served on the Region 10 LAC, TASB School Board Advocacy Network, NSBA Federal Relations Network and NSBA Advocacy Institute.

Gooch, an assistant vice-president for Morgan Stanley, is in her eigth consecutive term on the SISD board, and currently serves as vice-president.  In addition, she has served as the board secretary.  Linda, has been honored the United States Presidential Volunteer Service award.  She received the Honorary Lone Star FFA Degree – the highest degree of honorary membership awarded by Texas FFA Association.  Locally, she served on the Town of Sunnyvale Home Rule Committee and helped draft the town’s first charter.

Gooch currently works with the SISD Alumni Association.  She has been active in the Sunnyvale Education Foundation as a board member and as its president, and has served the Sunnyvale PTA as the volunteer coordinator.  She also was a nine-year coach for one of Sunnyvale’s award-winning Destination Imagination teams.  She is also a lifetime member of the Raider Pride Booster Club.
