Bio

Ms. Orozco holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s in Conflict Resolution from Southern Methodist University. With 17 years in education, she brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

 

Most recently, Ms. Orozco served as a principal in Duncanville ISD. Her career also includes roles as an assistant principal in Irving ISD and as a teacher in Dallas and Grand Prairie ISDs. Her commitment to the Grand Prairie community runs deep, as she is a proud product of GPISD, having attended Travis Elementary, Lee Middle School, and Grand Prairie High School.

 

Ms. Orozco believes that the heart of any community is its schools. She is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships with parents, staff, teachers, and students to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. She maintains that all students should and can experience success in a safe and caring learning environment. She is committed to providing a quality education where students feel empowered to achieve beyond their imagination. Ms. Orozco understands the importance of collaboration and open communication in building a thriving school community.  Her goal is to create a school culture that encourages continuous improvement, innovation, and a love for learning.

 

In her spare time, Ms. Orozco enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Pablo, who is also a principal and a product of GPISD (Fannin, Lee, GPHS). Together, they have three children: Giovanni, Emma, and Leila.

 

Ms. Orozco is humbled and honored to serve the parents, staff, teachers, and students of Fannin Middle School.
