Dr. Lester Singleton moved to Cedar Hill in 2000, and his two children attended Cedar Hill ISD.
An administrator in Dallas ISD, Singleton is one of three Trustees with experience working in the education field, joining Trustee Carma Morgan. Board Vice President Dr. Denise Roache-Davis is a retired educator.
The Mississippi native earned a Doctorate of Ministry at Andersonville Seminary and two Master’s Degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce (Educational Administration and Secondary Education). Singleton earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Dallas Baptist University.
Singleton has served on the City of Cedar Hill Beautification and Environmental Sustainability Board for the past decade. He’s a member of Cedar Hill All Pro Dads and a former member of the City of Cedar Hill’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. He served as a volunteer for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) of Dallas County.
Singleton chose to run because of his passion, experience, leadership and vision of excellence. School safety is a top priority for Singleton, along with creating positive relationships and school culture.
