Greetings, Williams Elementary School community! I am honored to be your Principal, Krista McClure. My journey in education spans 25 years, during which I have had the privilege of positively impacting students’ lives and fostering educational excellence. My educational journey began at Stephen F. Austin University, where I laid the foundation for my career with a rigorous undergraduate education. Building on this foundation, I pursued my passion for educational leadership and counseling, earning a Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to the field of education, with 17 years spent within the Garland Independent School District. My experience in Garland ISD has shaped my understanding of our community’s unique needs and aspirations, providing me with invaluable insights into how best to support our students, families, and educators.
Before joining Williams Elementary, I had the privilege of serving at Shorehaven, where I worked diligently to enhance student achievement and foster a culture of academic success. My leadership style is grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to creating a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. I am passionate about educational excellence and believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. As Principal of Williams Elementary, I am dedicated to continuing our tradition of academic excellence, nurturing a positive school culture, and empowering our students to reach their full potential. I look forward to working closely with each of you—students, parents, staff, and community members—to build upon our successes and create a bright future for all our students at Williams Elementary School.
