Dr. Kevin Hunt is the head principal of Highland Park High School. He previously served as head principal at Highland Park Middle School.

Before joining HP Dr. Hunt worked for Crowley ISD where he served as an elementary principal and then transitioned to the role of principal at Summer Creek Middle School. He previously taught high school English Language Arts, physics and chemistry, and English Language Arts at the middle school.

Dr. Hunt earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with chemistry and English minors from Texas Christian University and returned to TCU later in his career to earn a master’s in secondary education and a doctorate in educational leadership and school administration.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve Highland Park ISD students and I’m excited to work with the HPHS staff, students, parents, and community,” Dr. Hunt said. “I believe that an effective campus leader is focused on instructional leadership that encourages student achievement, which aligns with HPISD’S history of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics.”

Dr. Hunt is the proud parent of Abigale and Sam Hunt.
