Karen Lacy has a Masters in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University and has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas Woman’s University. Some of Karen’s numerous certifications include: Special Education (EC-12), English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies (4-8), English Language Arts and Reading (7-12), Secondary Reading (6-12) and, Educational Diagnostician (EC-12).
Karen Lacy, a solid supporter of “Everything DeSoto,” has owned a home and lived here for the past 18 years. Having raised two DeSoto ISD graduates, Karen has touched just about every organization known in DeSoto ISD, from the education side to extracurricular. In every way, Karen supports the uplifting of our local education agency. Due to the connections and success her two graduates experienced, Karen is loyal to DeSoto ISD. She stands ready to serve the next generation who ushers in, intending to lead them towards success for all.
Karen Lacy is a transparent and passionate leader. Karen is now in a position, alongside the current trustees, to regain the trust of the community we serve by being transparent, responsive, and professional while overseeing the district management.
