My name is Jolie Scott and I’m beginning my 2nd year as the proud principal of Armstrong Elementary. I grew up in Garland ISD and attended Vial Elementary, Coyle Middle School, and Lakeview Centennial High School. My teaching career began at Rowlett Elementary where I taught 4th grade and then I continued at Stephens Elementary as a 3rd and 1st grade teacher. Before serving 5 years as the assistant principal at Armstrong, I was the interventionist at Spring Creek Elementary for 3 years. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a reading specialization at the University of North Texas and a Master in Educational Leadership at Lamar University.
On a personal note, I am a mom of two grown sons and a daughter. Seven years ago, we welcomed my beautiful grandson into the world. I love to spend as much time as I can with my family, as well as travel and read good books!
Armstrong has always been known for being one of the best schools in Garland ISD and I am so proud to be a part of this outstanding community of parents, students, and staff. I look forward to seeing our Aviator families as we work together for a successful school year!
