Bio

Chief Ellenburg has 33 years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career in law enforcement in 1992 with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office. In 1995, he was hired by the McKinney Police Department where he rose through the ranks working in a wide variety of divisions. He became Assistant Chief in 2013 and was promoted to Chief of Police on December 5, 2022.
