Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I am the proud daughter of immigrants who came to the United States from Mexico in pursuit of their American Dream. My parents worked hard to raise me and my three siblings – to give us kids the opportunities in life they always dreamed of. Throughout my life, I have remained inspired by my family’s courage and hard work ethic because I know their life experiences mirror so many families’ in Dallas and across Texas. The American Dream, based on freedom and opportunity, is still worth fighting for – and that’s why I want to continue serving you in the Texas Capitol.
