Place 1 is currently held by Board President Jeff Pendill. Mr. Pendill has been a member of the Community ISD Board of Trustees since 2013. In July 2018, Mr. Pendill earned the designation of Master Trustee upon completion of Leadership TASB, a program sponsored by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). He was elected as President of the Board on May 15, 2023.

Mr. Pendill is a 1989 graduate of Community High School, and he works at Region 10 ESC.

Jeff Pendill’s goal, as a member of CISD Board of Trustees, is to see that an environment of educational and personal growth for Excellence is a standard not a goal for all our students & staff. This can be accomplished by the personnel that are hired and staying on top of technical advances in the industry.
