Ms. Jacobo Martinez has enjoyed both the student and professional aspects of FWISD. Beginning as a student at the International Newcomers Academy after arriving from her native country of Mexico. She went on to graduate as her class Salutatorian from Polytechnic High School. She continued her higher education at Texas Woman’s University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary studies and then enrolled as a graduate student at Texas Wesleyan University where she received her Master’s in Second Language Acquisition and School Administration.

Miss Jacobo Martinez’s life then came full circle as she once again stepped foot at INA, this time as a 7th grade reading teacher where she taught for five years. She went back to her Alma Mater one more time, this time as an Instructional Specialist at Polytechnic High School.

Having never had the privilege of being an elementary student in FWISD, Miss Jacobo Martinez is looking forward to this step in her career at Oakhurst Elementary amongst the youngest of our students with the biggest of impacts yet to be made in our district.
