Eugene Escobar Jr. was sworn in as the Mayor of Princeton, Texas, on December 23, 2024. Born in New York City, Eugene moved to McKinney, Texas, in 2007 and later settled in Princeton in 2013 when he married and began raising his family. Now a proud husband and father of six, Eugene is deeply rooted in the community he calls home.
Eugene brings a wealth of experience and a fresh vision for the future of Princeton. With over 15 years of professional experience in IT, business management, and revitalizing businesses, Eugene has built a reputation for solving complex challenges and helping organizations reach new heights. As a former COO of a leading medical IT company, he managed large-scale operations and projects across multiple states, honing the skills he now applies to serving Princeton. In 2020, Eugene founded his own IT company, specializing in helping startup medical practices thrive, and in 2023, he launched a consulting company focused on investing in and supporting individuals in starting small businesses in Princeton.
Eugene’s professional background has equipped him with the ability to assess the big picture and anticipate the long-term effects of decision-making—skills he believes are essential for leading a rapidly growing city like Princeton. His experience in navigating growth and fostering success has been instrumental in shaping his approach to public service.
