Ernest Lynch was elected to City Council in 2025 as an At Large member.
Council member Lynch brings 38 years of distinguished service in healthcare administration and a deep commitment to the McKinney community. He spent 23 years at Medical City McKinney, serving as CEO for over two decades, where he led major expansions in patient care, strengthened partnerships with first responders, and guided the hospital through the challenges of the pandemic with compassion and steady leadership.
Council member Lynch’s impact extends beyond healthcare. He has held key leadership roles in McKinney, including Chairman of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the boards of the DFW Hospital Council, McKinney Education Foundation, and Family Health Services of Texas.
Council member Lynch believes that proven leadership, financial expertise, and a commitment to responsible growth, public safety, and policies that support families, businesses, and the health of the community will contribute to McKinney’s success.
