Emily Forte proudly serves as the principal of Lake Highlands Elementary, where she is entering her 8th year leading the campus and her 19th year in education—all of which have been in Richardson ISD. Her career has included roles as a classroom teacher, instructional specialist, and assistant principal before becoming principal.
She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2007 and a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction. She later earned a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M-Commerce, equipping her with the tools to lead with vision and purpose.
Deeply committed to the Lake Highlands community, she is passionate about creating a school environment where decisions are made in the best interests of all students, where both staff and students are encouraged to grow, and where joy and connection are part of daily life.
Outside of school, she lives in East Dallas with her wife and two dogs. She enjoys running at White Rock Lake, traveling, and reading.
Mrs. Forte is looking forward to another successful year at LHE and continuing the important work of building a strong, inclusive, and thriving school community.
