Demetria Bell-Ellis brings 36 years of experience in education, including 10 years in administration into her new assignment. Her educational journey began in Lake Providence, Louisiana where she taught elementary school for 10 years. Since relocating to Grand Prairie, Texas, she has committed the last 25 years to the students, parents, and stakeholders of the Dallas Independent School District.
Principal Bell-Ellis has proudly served as an elementary and middle school math teacher, Math Instructional Coach, and administratively as Assistant Principal and Principal at Ronald McNair Elementary School. As an Elementary Master Principal, she has led with a data-driven approach, resulting in sustained student growth and academic success. Recognized as a district-wide leader in student achievement and campus culture, Principal Bell-Ellis has earned the highest climate survey ratings in Region IV and across the district for several years.
A dynamic instructional leader, Ms. Bell-Ellis is known for cultivating inclusive, achievement-focused environments that prioritize both academic excellence and social-emotional development. Her move to middle school leadership reflects a continued commitment to driving student growth and school-wide excellence.
