Mayor Charlotte Wilcox and her family moved to Highland Village from Lewisville in 1995 and have made Highland Village their home ever since. She was appointed to the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission in 2006. Then in 2009, Charlotte was elected to Highland Village City Council Place 3, where she served until being appointed Mayor by the City Council upon the resignation of then Mayor Pat Davis. In May 2015, she was elected to and continued to serve as Mayor until terming out in 2022. In 2024, after taking two years off, she ran again for Mayor and was sworn in to that position in May 2024.
Mayor Wilcox is a licensed realtor with All City Real Estate. She was awarded the prestigious Sue Wiescamp Meritorious Service award by Great Lewisville Association of Realtors (GLAR) in 2017 and received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019. In 2023 Charlotte was honored with the Citizen of the Year Award by the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce. All City Real Estate awarded Mayor Wilcox with their Humanitarian of the Year Award stating, her “actions remind us of the power we each hold to create change through service, kindness and empathy.”
She is a native Texas, born on Texas Independence Day and has been married to Terry Wilcox for 45 years in November 2024. Together they have two children, Tiffany Wilcox McWilliams and Travis Wilcox. She also has two grandangels, Addie McWilliams and Gracie McWilliams.
