Ms. Cassandra McCalister is from East Texas and relocated to Fort Worth with her family. She is a graduate of Oscar Dean Wyatt High School. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas College, Tyler, Texas. She also has a Master’s degree from Prairie View A&M where she also received her Principal’s certification.

Ms. McCalister has 25 years of experience in education. She served as a classroom teacher in fourth grade at Glen Park ES, and a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Leonard Middle School. She has also served as an Instructional Specialist at L. Clifford Davis ES, an Assistant Principal at Maude I. Logan, and the Principalship at Hazel Harvey Peace ES, Glencrest 6th, and currently Carter Park ES.

Ms. McCalister’s personal goal is to “Erase the Opportunity Gap in our school community”, while increasing student attendance and achievement.
