My name is Brandi Lewis, and I am proud to serve as the Principal of Shands Elementary. As I begin my 14th year leading this incredible school, I remain deeply committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. At Shands, we believe that Learning is Required, and we hold high expectations for all students as we help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Shands Elementary is a Pre-K through 5th grade bilingual campus known for our strong community partnerships, dedicated staff, and vibrant student life. I take great pride in our house systems, our award-winning UIL teams, Battle of the Books champions, Destination Imagination teams, our celebrated Chess Club, active Student Council, and amazing Honor Choir. These opportunities reflect our belief that every child can succeed and shine in their own way.
