Mr. Cravens is serving his 8th consecutive term on the SISD Board of Trustees. He has served as Board President since 2003, and was Vice President in 2002. He has organized and led numerous strategic planning committees to study long-term district needs, and contributes financial expertise to the board’s budgeting process.

In 1999, Mr. Cravens founded the Sunnyvale Education Foundation (SEF), a non-profit organization that has donated $157,000 in teaching grants to the teachers and students of Sunnyvale School. He served several years on the SEF board, including two years as President. He is a PTA member and a lifetime charter member of the Raider Pride Booster Club (RPBC).

Mr. Cravens has also served his town on the Board of Adjustments and Sunnyvale 4B. He is a church Deacon, and has served as Finance Chair, Adult Sunday School Director, and youth Sunday school teacher. He also volunteers his time to coach youth baseball, football, basketball, and soccer.
