Ayanna Cabrera-Cook is a passionate community leader, organizational management specialist, and the visionary founder of For Me Communications — a dynamic firm that specializes in coaching, strategic branding, marketing, professional training, and content development for individuals, organizations, and businesses seeking to grow their influence and impact.

Currently serving her first term as a Cedar Hill ISD Trustee, Cabrera-Cook has a long-standing record of service within the district. She has held multiple leadership roles, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Cedar Hill Council of PTAs, and served in similar capacities at High Pointe Elementary and Bessie Coleman Middle School. Her involvement extends to the Longhorn Futures Committee, Budget Committee, and Equity Committee, where she has consistently advocated for equity, student achievement, and stronger community partnerships.

 

Originally from New York, Cabrera-Cook has called Cedar Hill home for the past 18 years. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce and an Associate’s Degree from Southwestern Christian College. She is the proud parent of three Longhorns — a Cedar Hill High School rising junior, a Bessie Coleman Middle School rising seventh grader, and a 2022 CHHS graduate.

 

Professionally, she brings extensive experience in event coordination, communications, and community engagement. As a trainer, branding and marketing expert, and thought partner, she is committed to helping others amplify their voices and visions. Through For Me Communications, she empowers clients to elevate their brands, streamline operations, and cultivate meaningful connections.

 

Cabrera-Cook is an active member of Central Pointe Church of Christ in Dallas and has proudly been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated , for over 30 years, currently serving in the Southwest Dallas County Alumnae Chapter. Her unwavering commitment to education, leadership, and advocacy drives her mission to foster inclusive, informed, and empowered communities.
