Ashley Padilla was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is a first-generation Mexican-American who is passionate about ensuring equitable opportunities and experiences for all students. Her experience has consisted of working with turn-around campuses and implementing strong instructional practices in order to increase student achievement.
Ashley Padilla began her teaching career at Chávez Elementary and later went on to continue teaching at Hotchkiss Elementary. Ashley Padilla has been an Assistant Principal at Truett Elementary since 2018 and is incredibly excited to transition into her new role of being the head principal and to continue serving the communities and families of George W. Truett Elementary.
Ashley Padilla graduated with her Bachelors in Education Interdisciplinary Studies as well as her Masters in Educational Leadership through Texas A&M
University-Commerce.
She loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two girls. She leads by faith and compassion and is a strong believer that “great leaders do not set out to be leaders, they set out to make a difference.”
