Anel Saldivar to Lead Riverside Middle School
Fort Worth ISD is proud to announce Anel Saldivar as the new principal of Riverside Middle School.
She has an extensive history in Fort Worth ISD and a strong background in instructional leadership, student advocacy, and family engagement to her new role.
She most recently served as assistant principal at North Side High School — where she won district Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year in 2023-24.
At North Side High School, Ms. Saldivar played a critical role in increasing graduation rates, expanding college preparation opportunities, and improving academic outcomes — particularly in Algebra I and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR). Under her leadership, the Class of 2024 achieved a CCMR rate of 95% and earned more than $26 million in scholarships.
Her personal education includes:
A master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington
A master’s degree in Social Work from Texas A&M University–Commerce
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas Woman’s University
Her commitment to student growth, equity, and excellence will be a driving force to Riverside Middle School as Fort Worth ISD continues to support scholars and their bright futures.
